Abstract

This study aims to reflect on the characterizations of the process of building the professional identity of a graduate student in the supervised curricular internship space. Thus, we conducted a qualitative and exploratory research, from the analysis of the narratives written in an intern's diary. In this way, we found that the internship is a space for socialization, learning, building knowledge, it is representative of practice and, therefore, it is constituted as a training territory. From these characteristics, identified during the internship period, we observe a process of construction of professional identity. All actions, based on these, mean the affirmation and strengthening of the identity under construction.
