Programa universidade para todos (PROUNI) and the social mobility of its beneficiaries

Abstract

Public Policies play a central role in society because they guarantee certain rights to specific disadvantaged groups. This article is based on analysis of the impacts that Programa Universidade Para Todos (ProUni) provided to its beneficiaries in terms of social mobility. The matter of this study is the lack of an evaluation culture of the results of public policies in our country. It intent to identify social, economic e cultural rise of the beneficiaries of this program on social mobility context. To do so, the methodology will include bibliographical and field research with application of questionnaires and interviews with ProUni graduates of a higher education institute. Because this is a research project, it is expected that the results show socioeconomic and cultural rise and improvement of quality of life of its beneficiaries.
